The "configuration" is the set of variables so far defined, such as the name and location of the data file, but not including the stego key. You can save the configuration in a file (with .cfg extension), and later restore it, using the usual Windows open/save dialog box.
Be aware that saving the configuration and leaving the configuration file on your PC constitutes a security risk, since someone might later load a configuration file and discover which data file you hid and where the stego images were located during the operation, although they would not discover your stego key since it is not written to a configuration file.
