Prime Number Spiral: Spiralling

A repeated increase or decrease of the central number is obtained by clicking on Spiral in or on Spiral out.

Animated gif When spiralling in, the central number increases (the numbers spiral in toward the center), and when spiralling out, the central number decreases.

The example at left (which shows about 50% by area of the graphical display) results from starting with central number = 41 (pixel size = 15; color by sequence color), and spiralling out (until central number = 17 is reached, when the animated GIF repeats).
